Chicago’s Sexual Chocolate is one of the most prolific and well-known producers in the current house/fidget-house landscape, having produced and remixed tracks for successful labels such as OM Records, Junky Trunk, Spatula City, Control, Flexual and Candy Talk Records (DJ Colette’s newest venture). In addition to remixing for some of the biggest artists and labels in today’s game, Sexual Chocolate runs his own label (Chicago-based Junky Trunk Records) and has toured internationally as a DJ. The seeds of his latest DJ mix Lies, Deception, Deceit…Receipt are sown in his affinity to the wobbly drum’n’bass sounds that drew him towards electronic music in the mid-to-late nineties: the sounds that served as the precursor to the electro-tinged subgenre coined fidget-house. Included in the mix are a pair of yet-to-be-released remixes: Timoshii’s remix of Royal K’s Stretcher (TBR March 2010 on Junky Trunk Records) and Sexual Chocolate’s remix of Colette’s Call on me (the debut EP on Colette’s new label Candy Talk Records).
